The Meowthrower is a Hardmode flamethrower that is dropped by the Wall of Flesh. Like other flamethrowers, it uses gel as ammunition. It shoots blue and pink flames at a short range and with a slight spread, which pierce twice. It additionally fires cat projectiles which home in on nearby enemies. Upon hitting an enemy, an aesthetic burst of flame occurs, and it makes a meowing sound.
Its best modifier is Unreal.

- The weapon deals 70% damage to the Aquatic Scourge and deals 60% damage to The Destroyer.
Trivia
- This weapon is themed around Meowmere, sharing its pink and blue cat aesthetic and its meow sound effects.
- The weapon's fire projectile is named "Purr Fire", and its cat projectile is named "the creature :3".

- 2.0.3.008:
- Nerfed damage from 37 to 29.
- Resprited.

- Nerfed use animation from 8 to 32, but buffed shot speed from 5.5 to 8.
- Now fires 2 flames per use instead of 1, and additionally fires homing cat projectiles.
