Neptune's Bounty in use.

Neptune's Bounty is a craftable post-Moon Lord melee weapon that is a direct upgrade to the Abyss Blade and the final upgrade to the Depth Crusher. When used, it throws a gravity-affected spinning abyssal sword that pierces infinitely. While spinning, the sword releases infinitely-piercing water blasts which deal 16.67% damage in random directions, or towards nearby enemies if any are present. After 1.25 seconds and as long as the sword falls at sufficient speed, it rapidly launches itself in the air or towards the nearest enemy, dealing 200% damage and creating a visual streak on hit. Both the sword and its water blasts can pass through tiles.

Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size.




  • Melee speed bonuses increase the fire rate of the Neptune's Bounty.



These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Reworked:
      • Buffed damage from 270 to 444, but nerfed use time from 22 to 65 and shot speed from 12 to 3.
      • No longer fires trident projectiles which spawn trailing, homing projectiles as they travel.
      • Now throws a fast spinning sword which pierces and constantly shoots water blasts that inflict Crush Depth for 4 seconds towards nearby enemies.
      • If the sword is falling at sufficient speed and has existed for 1.25 seconds, it will launch itself at high speed towards the nearest enemy. The sword deals 200% base damage after launching.
    • Increased sell price from 26 Gold Coin to 35 Gold Coin.
  • Now uses 6 Reaper Teeth in its recipe instead of 5 Phantoplasm, 15 Depth Cells, 15 Lumenyl, and 5 Tenebris.
    • Decreased Crush Depth duration from tridents from 5 seconds to 3, and from direct hits from 10 seconds to 5.
    • No longer considered a nature weapon.
    • Nerfed damage from 380 to 251 and homing projectiles now deal 50% base damage.
    • Both the sword and projectiles now grant 10 local immunity frames instead of 1.
    • Resprited.
    • Fixed a typo and grammar error in the tooltip.
  • Projectiles are now briefly invisible upon spawning.
    • Buffed damage from 250 to 380, and main trident now lasts 2 seconds instead of 1.
    • Projectiles now use actual sprites instead of dusts.
    • Projectiles now rain down additional projectiles as they travel, similarly to North Pole, and explode on death.
    • Resprited.
    • Nerfed damage from 540 to 300, use time from 16 to 21, and shot speed from 25 to 12.
    • Decreased sell price from 36 Gold Coin to 28 Gold Coin.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 13 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 14.
    • Now uses 5 Ruinous Souls in its recipe instead of 5 Cosmilite Bars.
    • Orbs now have afterimages.
  • Now uses 15 Depth Cells, 15 Lumenyl, and 5 Tenebris in its recipe.
    • Buffed damage from 270 to 285.
    • Fired water orbs produce less dust.
  • Nerfed damage from 380 to 270, and gave it a tooltip.
  • Now uses 5 Phantoplasm in its recipe.
    • Now requires a Draedon's Forge to craft instead of an Ancient Manipulator.
    • Removed tooltip "Hitting enemies will cause the crush depth debuff. The lower the enemies' defense the more damage they take from this debuff. Fires a water orb that rains damaging water as it travels".
