The Pulse Pistol is a craftable Pre-Hardmode magic gun. When used, it fires a pink gravity-defying pulse that disappears on tile impact. If the pulse hits a target, it is able to redirect to another target, and pierce twice before dissipating on the third.

The weapon consumes 0.05 units of charge per use and has a maximum charge of 50. As such, the weapon can be used continuously from full charge 1000 times, or for 5 minutes and 33 seconds.

Its best modifier is Mythical. However, the weapon's knockback will not be affected due to already being 0.



The Pulse Pistol cannot be crafted until the Schematic from the Sunken Sea Bio-center Lab is found. If the requirement has not been met, two lines of tooltip are added at the bottom of the item:

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • Nerfed damage from 26 to 23, and use time from 20 to 21.
    • Now uses 7 Sea Prisms in its recipe instead of 4 Meteorite Bars.
    • No longer does more damage to inorganic enemies.
  • Fixed an issue that caused it to lose its charge when reforged.
    • Depletion of charge is no longer random, it now consumes 0.05 charge on every use.
    • Projectiles can no longer arc off of enemies with body segments.
