The Ballista is a craftable Hardmode bow. When used, it converts Wooden Arrows into ballista arrows that pierce once and shatter into 3 fossil shards upon hitting a second enemy, as well as upon contact with tiles. The fossil shards deal 25% of the weapon's damage. All of its projectiles inflict the Armor Crunch debuff.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

• The Magic Quiver increases its arrows' damage, but not their speed.
• Astrum Aureus takes only 70% damage from The Ballista's arrows.

  • Buffed damage from 99 to 120.
  • Decreased amount of shards spawned on death from 6 to 3, but buffed damage from 20% base damage to 25%.
