The Urchin Flail is a Pre-Hardmode launched flail that is sold by the Sea King for 2
. When used, it throws out an urchin ball that shoots an urchin spike upon hitting an enemy, inflicting the Poisoned debuff. Urchin spikes visually stick onto enemies and disappear after a short amount of time or when the enemy is killed. The urchin ball will retract to the player upon contact with a block or an enemy. It is not affected by gravity, cannot be swung around, and cannot be redeployed while the urchin has already been thrown out.
Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size.

- 2.0.3.005: Nerfed damage from 33 to 20, but buffed shot speed from 12 to 16.
- 2.0.2.001: Now inflicts Poisoned instead of Acid Venom.

- Decreased Venom duration from flail from 5 seconds to 3, and spikes from 5 seconds to 2.
