The Subsuming Vortex's large vortex.

The Subsuming Vortex is a craftable post-Moon Lord spell tome. When used with its primary fire (left-click), the weapon rapidly fires three small aggressively homing vortices, each dealing 30% of the weapon's damage and pierces infinitely. When held with its secondary fire (right-click), it charges up a semi-controllable growing vortex in front of the player. While charging, the large vortex periodically fires homing vortices at enemies in range, consuming mana for each vortex fired. Enemies that come into contact with the large vortex itself will also take damage.

After approximately one second of charging the giant vortex, it can be launched towards the cursor by releasing the fire button. On contact with an enemy, the vortex detonates in a massive explosion that rapidly deals damage to all enemies in the blast. The damage of the explosion scales linearly with how long the vortex has been charged. After four seconds, the vortex becomes fully charged and stops firing small vortices. A fully charged vortex deals 465% of the weapon's damage.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Trivia

  • The left-click firing pattern of the weapon is reminiscent of its original function when first implemented, where it fired 3 rebounding discs similar to the Razorblade Typhoon.
