The Celestial Reaper is a post-Moon Lord rogue weapon that is sold by the Bandit for 2 Platinum Coin after the Moon Lord has been defeated. When thrown, it will home in on an enemy and will bounce back from the enemy when it hits, allowing it to redirect itself to hit and bounce off of a different enemy, or simply turn around and hit the same enemy again. It will do this up to six times or 10 seconds, slowing down after each hit. After it hits for the sixth time or after the weapon lingers for 10 seconds, it splits into several fast, damaging afterimages, each dealing 50% damage.

Performing a stealth strike with the Celestial Reaper will cause the next scythe to deal 90% damage and leave behind additional damaging afterimages as it travels; these spawn in greater quantities as the main scythe hits more enemies, but deal 22.5% damage.

Its best modifier is Flawless.

  • Due to its high damage potential and the relatively aggressive homing capabilities, this weapon is viable to use against many early post-Moon Lord bosses, even all the way to Polterghast.

    • Stealth strikes now have a 90% damage modifier.
    • Nerfed damage from 240 to 120, but improved its homing ability.
    • Fixed a grammar error in its tooltip.
  • Scythe is now instantly destroyed on contact with a Target Dummy or Super Dummy.
  • Afterimages no longer deal flat damage.
  • Fixed a bug where it could damage Town NPCs and the Eternia Crystal.
