Use
The Dragoon Drizzlefish is a Pre-Hardmode flamethrower that is rarely fished up in the Brimstone Crag. It shoots one of two flame projectiles:
- A gravity-affected fireball that lingers for a short amount of time after halting.
- A fireball that splits into three fireballs after traveling a short distance.
The larger projectiles have infinite pierce, while the normal ones can only pierce 4 enemies, disappearing upon hitting the fifth. However, the smaller projectiles will be able to linger on the ground and continuously damage enemies, while the larger projectiles and the split ones they produce will dissipate immediately upon hitting any block.
Both projectiles have a 50% chance of being either orange or red. Orange projectiles inflict the Hellfire debuff, while the red projectiles inflict Brimstone Flames.
Its best modifier is Unreal.
Notes
- In the Get fixed boi seed, Dragoon Drizzlefish receives several changes:
- The player may right click to feed Gel to the fish up to a maximum of 6 charges. If not fully fed, it prompts a sound and a pop-up text ^-^.
- Fireball damage and dust size scales with the amount of Gel charges remaining. Each time the weapon is fired has a 4% chance to reduce the charge, if fed.
- If unfed, firing the weapon has a 33.33% chance to cause a sound and a pop-up text :(, 25% of which is replaced with >:( and inflicts Dragonfire to the player for 4 seconds.
- The last two lines of the tooltip is replaced with the following:
Right click to feed the little boy some tasty gel
'He is a hungry boy'
- Unlike other flamethrowers, this weapon does not consume ammo, also lacking an equipped "tank." This is intentional, as referenced by the weapon's description with the line "The brimstone sac appears to contain fuel".
Trivia
- Dragoons were a class of mounted infantry units that later became conventional cavalry.
- A drizzle is a light rain.
