Molecular Manipulator
The Molecular Manipulator is a craftable post-Moon Lord ranged weapon that is a direct upgrade to the Nullification Pistol. Each shot will alter its target in some way, as long as it is not a boss. The following effects can happen at an equal chance:
- Grow 400% bigger
- Shrink 90% smaller
- Deal 20 more contact damage
- Deal 20 less contact damage
- Become completely resistant to knockback
- Remove all knockback resistance
- Increase defense by 10
- Decrease defense by 10
- Increase velocity upwards
- Increase velocity to the left or right
Its best modifier is Unreal.

Notes
- The amount of contact damage increase or decrease will scale with difficulty.
- For example, Great Sand Shark has a 60% scaling factor in Expert Mode and 15% scaling factor in Revengeance Mode. Therefore, the amount of damage increase will equal to 20 / 32 / 36 / 39 / 48 / 55 / 59 .
- The amount of velocity increased is 1.875 blocks per second. This effect is additive and can therefore counteract opposite motion.
- For example, under the effect of increasing vertical velocity, an NPC that moves downwards at a rate of 3 blocks per second will still move downwards, but at a rate of 1.125 blocks per second.

- The Molecular Manipulator will work on the Guide and the Clothier with their respective voodoo dolls equipped.
History

- 2.0.2.002: Can no longer affect the contact damage of Super Dummies.
- 2.0.2.001: Now uses 1 Core of Calamity in its recipe instead of 3.
- 1.5.0.001:
- Nerfed damage from 890 to 580.
- No longer consumes the player's health as ammo.
- Decreased Nullshot projectile damage modifiers from +500/-500 damage to +20/-20 damage.
- Decreased Nullshot projectile defense modifiers from +20/-20 defense to +10/-10 defense.
- Nullshot launch modifier now adjusts the enemy's y-axis location between +15 and +30 pixels instead of always setting an enemy's y-axis to +30 pixels.

- 1.4.2.001: Using it when at or below 0 health now kills the player.
