The Microwave is a Hardmode yoyo that is dropped by Astrum Deus. While deployed, it emits an aura that constantly damages enemies within a roughly 6-tile radius. The aura deals 35% of the weapon's damage and inflicts the Astral Infection debuff on hit.

Its best modifier is Godly. It cannot get modifiers that affect size.

Trivia

• The Microwave emits a notable humming noise while deployed, and a beep sound upon killing enemies, mimicking that of a real-life microwave oven. Its tooltip also makes reference to this, mentioning cooking.
• The Microwave is also based on cosmic microwave background radiation in space, as the boss associated with it is space-themed.
