The 1.1.7.851 update made reworks to Calamity's Hardmode ore sets by splitting Daedalus and Reaver into multiple classes with different helmets, and retiering Chaotic and Uelibloom Ore to later in progression. It also changed various projectiles to ignore immunity frames, made a few recipe changes, and added two weapons.

  • Aegis Blade's true melee swings and alt fire's bolts now split into 2-3 flames instead of 3-4.

  • The Ballista's special arrow now sets NPC immunity frames to 6.
  • Nerfed Bladecrest Oathsword's damage from 32 to 25.
  • Blight Spewer's flames now set NPC immunity frames to 5.
  • Buffed Blissful Bombardier's damage from 195 to 305.
  • Brackish Flask's water now sets NPC immunity frames to 6.

  • The lasers from Deathhail Staff, Deathwind, Excelsus, and The Obliterator now set NPC immunity frames to 2.
  • The Oathblade projectile from Devil's Devastation, Forbidden Oathblade, and True Forbidden Oathblade now sets NPC immunity frames to 7 after defeating Moon Lord.
  • Diseased Pike now sets NPC immunity frames to 6.
  • Earthen Pike now sets NPC immunity frames to 8.
  • Nerfed Effervescence's damage from 115 to 110 and changed the speeds of its bubbles.

  • True Tyrant's Ultisword now uses the Rarity Level: 12 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 10, and grants the Tyrant's Fury buff for 6 seconds instead of 4.
  • Buffed Verdant's damage from 88 to 248, knockback from 4 to 6, and made its leaves deal 75% base damage instead of 50%.
  • Virulence's dust projectile now sets NPC immunity frames to 5.
  • Decreased Xeroc Greatsword's plasma balls' dust size.
  • Xeroc Pitchforks now set NPC immunity frames to 3.

Armor

  • Daedalus armor changes:
    • Daedalus Helm now provides melee stat boosts instead of ranged.
    • Buffed Daedalus Helm's defense from 13 to 21.
    • Daedalus Breastplate now provides damage and critical strike chance boosts to all damage types instead of just ranged.
    • Daedalus Breastplate no longer gives a 20% chance to not consume ammo.
    • Buffed Daedalus Breastplate's defense from 16 to 17.
    • Daedalus Leggings now provide a 4% critical strike chance boost to all damage types but summoner, instead of a 5% ranged critical strike chance boost.
    • Buffed Daedalus Leggings' defense from 12 to 13, but nerfed movement speed boost from 11% to 10%.
    • Removed Shroomite armor stealth effect from its set bonus.
    • Melee Daedalus armor now grants a 50% chance for hostile projectiles to be deflected while healing the player for half of the projectile's damage.
  • Reaver armor changes:
    • Reaver Scale Mail now provides damage and critical strike chance boosts to all damage types instead of just melee.
    • Buffed Reaver Scale Mail's defense from 15 to 19, but nerfed max health boost from 100 to 50.
    • Reaver Cuisses now provide a critical strike chance boost to all damage types but summoner, instead of only for melee.
    • Buffed Reaver Cuisses' defense from 12 to 14.
    • Nerfed Reaver Helm's melee damage boost from 12% to 10%, melee critical strike chance boost from 9% to 5%, melee speed boost from 8% to 5%, decreased its damage reduction penalty as health lowers, movement speed boost from 8% to 5%, and buffed defense from 24 to 25.
    • Melee explosions now penetrate once instead of infinitely.
  • Tarragon armor changes:
    • Buffed Tarragon Helm's defense from 17 to 27, but no longer provides 100 extra health.
    • Tarragon Helm's tooltip now mentions that it makes the wearer immune to Lava and several debuffs.
    • Buffed Tarragon Breastplate's defense from 27 to 30.
    • Buffed Tarragon Leggings' defense from 8 to 26.
    • All pieces now have the Rarity Level: 12 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 8.
    • Nerfed set bonus' defense boosts as health lowers from intervals of 7 each to 4 each.
    • Nerfed set bonus damage reduction boost when under 50% health from 5% to 2.5%, and when under 25% health from 7.5% to 5%.
  • Xeroc armor changes:
    • Nerfed Xeroc Mask's defense from 23 to 20.
    • Buffed Xeroc Plate Mail's defense from 22 to 27.
    • Buffed Xeroc Cuisses' defense from 17 to 24, nerfed critical strike chance boost from 10% to 7%, and nerfed movement speed boost from 30% to 20%.
    • Set bonus changes:
      • Now affects throwing damage and critical strike chance, and summon damage.
      • Removed mana cost penalty once the player is below 40% health.
      • Nerfed set mana cost reduction boost from 15% to 10%.
      • Final set of stat changes now activate when below 20% health instead of 25%.
      • Nerfed critical strike chance boost when below 85% health from 10% to 5% and damage boost when below 75% health from 15% to 5%.
      • Decreased damage penalty when below 20% health from 25% to 10%, and critical strike chance penalty from 20% to 5%.
      • Explosions and fire projectiles now penetrate once instead of infinitely.
      • Explosions now last for 0.8 seconds instead of 0.17.

Other

  • Increased Chaotic Ore's mining requirement from 199 to 209.
  • Increased Uelibloom Ore's mining requirement from 209 to 249.

  • Fixed Deathhail Staff's lasers dealing ranged damage.
  • Fixed Diseased Pike and Exsanguination Lance being able to be used while their spears were still out.
