The Temporal Floe Sword was a craftable Hardmode broadsword that autoswung. When used, it fired an ice beam that dealt 65% of the blade's damage. Upon contact with an enemy or tile, the beam split into two more beams that dealt 32.5% of the sword's damage. The direction that the beams split into was based on the in-game time and an analog clock, with each minute changing the angle of the first beam by 6 degrees, and each hour changing the angle of the second beam by 15 degrees, clockwise starting at 12:00 PM.

Its best modifier was Legendary.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 1.5.1.001:
    • Decreased Frostburn duration from direct hits from 10 seconds to 5, main beams from 4 seconds to 3, and split beams from 4 seconds to 2.
    • Decreased Glacial State duration from both beams from 1 second to 0.5.
    • Now uses 15 Sea Prisms in its recipe.
    • No longer considered an ice weapon.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Now always inflicts Glacial State, but decreased duration from 2 seconds to 1.
    • Now uses 15 Cryonic Bars in its recipe instead of 15 Frigid Bars.
  • 1.4.4.004:
    • Reworked:
      • Buffed damage from 85 to 95.
      • Nerfed main beam's damage from 100% base damage to 65%.
      • When the main beam hits a target or block, it splits into two beams that each deal halved damage, the directions of the secondary beams depend on the world time.
  • 1.4.2.107: Projectiles are now briefly invisible upon spawning.
  • 1.3.1.001:
    • No longer inflicts Chilled.
    • Tweaked dust.
