Phantom Lances were craftable Hardmode javelins. They automatically threw spears that slowed down and faded away over time. Each spear left a trail of homing lost souls that dealt less damage the later they were released. The damage linearly decreased from 70% of the spear's damage to 0 over 5 seconds. Both the souls and the spear went through blocks but did not pierce enemies.

Performing a stealth strike with Phantom Lances would cause the next javelin thrown to always move at constant velocity and soul damage was constant regardless of the projectile's lifespan.

The Phantom Lance could not be reforged, and therefore could not have modifiers.

Used in

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.2.001: No longer uses 1 Scoria Bar or 1 Ashes of Calamity in its recipe, and now yields 150 instead of 100.
  • 2.0.1.001: Now uses 1 Ashes of Calamity and 1 Spectre Bar in its recipe instead of 2 of each.
  • 1.5.0.001: Stealth strikes now have a 175% damage modifier.
  • 1.4.5.001: Added a sprite to its homing projectile.
