The Exo Gladius' projectiles and sword beam spawns.

The Exo Gladius was a craftable post-Moon Lord shortsword that autoswung. It was the final upgrade to the Night's Stabber. When swung, it autofired rainbow orbs that travelled through blocks and homed in on enemies. Upon hitting an enemy, the orbs would summon off-screen color-changing sword beams that homed in on enemies. Hitting an enemy with a true melee attack would make the player immune for a short while, and summon comets that rain from the sky.

The weapon, along with its projectiles inflicted the following debuffs:

Tips

  • This weapon was very useful for destroying Brimstone Hearts in the Supreme Calamitas fight due to its high base damage and effect. Combined with the fact that the projectiles homed in on enemies, it could be especially useful during the 2nd Sepulcher phase, as it could allow the player to focus on dodging while the weapon killed the hearts.
    • In addition, if the player hit the Sepulcher with the blade of the weapon, it was possible to intentionally stall the fight to regen health and build up Adrenaline due to the immunity frames it provided.
  • The Tainted Enchantment was useful for boosting this weapon's true melee damage.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 1.5.1.001:
    • No longer inflicts Brimstone Flames, Plague, Cursed Inferno, or Ichor.
    • Now inflicts Frostburn for 2.5 seconds instead of 2, and On Fire! for 3 seconds instead of 2.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 2700 to 690.
    • Now grants the player 3 immunity frames on true melee strikes instead of bonus immunity frames being added on to the player over-time.
    • Now uses 1 Miracle Matter in its recipe instead of 4 Auric Bars.
