Hadopelagic Echo sound waves bouncing off tiles and attacking through a line of Target Dummies.

The Hadopelagic Echo was a craftable post-Moon Lord magic gun that was a direct upgrade to the Eidolic Wail. When used, it fired a burst of four sound waves that could pierce infinitely and ricochet off of walls in quick succession. When the wave hit an enemy, it spawned two additional waves from random directions, with a 2-second cooldown on the effect. The main wave initially dealt 5% damage with a smaller size and grew to full size and damage after one second, while additional waves dealt 20% damage.

Its best modifier was Mythical.

Trivia

  • The weapon's sprite was originally intended to be a resprite of the Eidolic Wail.
  • The weapon had a 1% chance of playing the Sunskater death sound instead of the typical sound.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 1.5.1.001:
    • Main wave now pierces infinitely instead of 49 times and no longer slows down on enemy hits.
    • Nerfed the amount of waves spawned from 5 to 2, and nerfed wave spawning cooldown from 1 second to 2.
    • The damage of the main wave no longer increases on enemy hits.
    • Additional waves now grant 8 local immunity frames instead of -1.
    • Now inflicts Crush Depth for 4 seconds instead of 10.
    • No longer inflicts Electrified or Ichor.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 769 to 500.
    • Now grants 8 local immunity frames instead of 0 immunity frames.
    • Now uses 5 Auric Bars in its recipe instead of 4.
  • 1.4.5.001: Decreased Ichor debuff duration from 10 seconds to 5.
