Gehenna was a Hardmode accessory that was dropped by the Brimstone Elemental. When equipped, it occasionally caused fireballs to fall from the sky. These fireballs acted in a manner almost identical to the Inferno Fork, leaving behind a lingering red explosion that inflicted the Brimstone Flames debuff.

Notes

  • The brimstone fire and fireballs dealt typeless damage. They were boosted by the average of player's class bonuses which stacked additively with bonuses to 'all damage', such as the Avenger Emblem.
  • Brimstone fireballs had a base damage of 54.

Trivia

  • The item was named after the area Gehenna, a small valley in Jerusalem where initially some of the kings of Judah sacrificed their children by fire. Thereafter, it was deemed to be cursed.
