The Starter Bag is a grab bag that is given to every newly spawned player. Right-clicking on the bag while it is in the inventory will give the player many items, all of which will help them progress through the beginning of the game more quickly and easily.

Notes

• Since the bag gives the player Bombs, the Demolitionist can arrive as soon as a house is available after starting a new character, provided that the Merchant is also present.
• The Starter Bag is one of the few items in the Calamity Mod that is not researchable.

• 2.0.2.001: Now drops Awakening.

• 2.0.1.001: Now also gives 50 Ropes when opened.

• 1.5.1.001: No longer drops Armageddon or Defiled Feather, due to their removals.

• 1.5.0.003: Now drops Armageddon.

• 1.5.0.001:
  • Now drops a Tin Broadsword, Tin Bow, Tin Hammer, and Topaz Staff instead of their Copper variants if the world generates with Tin Ore.
  • No longer drops Slime Crown.
