Bloodfire Arrows are craftable post-Moon Lord arrows. They drain 1 HP from the player when fired, travel at a noticeably higher speed than most arrows, and are not affected by gravity. When hitting an enemy, they will increase the player's health regeneration and heal the player for 1-4 HP depending on their missing health.

Notes

  • Bloodfire Arrows increase the player's lifeRegenTime variable by 2 frames per enemy hit.
    • The variable represents the number of frames since the last time the player has been hit, with a maximum of 3600 frames, or 60 seconds. The higher the number, the higher the regeneration. An exact formula of the regeneration rate which depends on this variable can be found here.

Trivia

  • If the player is killed by Bloodfire Arrows' self-damage, the death messages "<PlayerName> fired one too many careless shots." or "<PlayerName> had no blood left to give." will display.

  • 2.0.4.003: Fixed it not removing health when fired during the lifesteal cooldown.
  • 2.0.4.002: Now ignores the lifesteal cooldown.

    • Reworked:
      • Buffed damage from 29 to 30, and arrows now have 6 extra updates.
      • No longer has a chance to heal 1 health on hit.
