- Not to be confused with Photosynthesis, a Hardmode magic weapon.
The Photosynthesis Potion is a craftable Hardmode buff potion. Upon consumption, it grants the Photosynthesis buff, which provides the following effects:
- +0.5 HP/s and +100% natural life regen speed while the player is not moving and not using items
- Additionally, grants a 30 second headstart for natural life regen if the player has been naturally regenerating for at least 1.5 seconds and it is daytime.
- Heart pickups heal an additional 5 health

Notes
- The increased natural life regen from the Photosynthesis buff is overridden by any accessory in the Honey Dew line, the Cosmic Freeze buff, the Demonshade Breastplate, and the Shiny Stone.
- Although the tooltip states that the life regen is 5 times stronger during the daytime, it only grants a 30 second headstart for natural life regen.
