- An additional +2.5 HP/s while the player is afflicted with a DoT debuff
- An additional flat +2 HP/s while the player is below 75% health

Notes
- Bloodfins can be considered an indirect upgrade to Honeyfins, given similar names and obtaining methods.
- Bloodfins can be considered the alternative to Supreme Healing Potions, as both are obtainable around the same time, and heal the player for a similar amount. However, the Bloodfin is arguably superior due to its life regen boosts, especially at low health, with only slightly less immediate healing.
- The flat "life regen" while below 75% health is done by directly healing the player for 1 HP every half-second (30 frames).
- Regardless, this healing will get disabled if the player is wearing Omega Blue armor, just like regular life regen.
Trivia
- Angiogenesis in its tooltip refers to the process by which blood vessels are formed.
