The Teratoma is a craftable Pre-Hardmode boss-summoning item that is used to summon The Hive Mind. It can only be used in The Corruption or Underground Corruption. Note that the boss can also be summoned by killing a Hive Tumor, which spawns rarely in the Corruption.
