The Hadal Stew is a craftable Pre-Hardmode food item that can also be obtained from Abyssal Treasures and Rusty Chests. When consumed, it heals the player for 120 life and restores 150 mana, and also grants the Plenty Satisfied buff for 60 minutes. It applies a shortened version of the Potion Sickness debuff upon use, allowing the player to heal more often.

Notes

  • Hadal Stew can also be obtained from various sources in various stacks.
  • If the player has equipped the Philosopher's Stone or its upgrades, the Potion Sickness duration is reduced to 37.5 seconds and the tooltip is updated to reflect this.

Trivia

  • The Hadal zone is the deepest part of the ocean, lying within oceanic trenches.
  • Hadal Stew was previously named "Sunken Stew." This was changed to avoid confusion with the Sunken Sea biome.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 1.4.5.004: Fixed a bug that allowed it to be used while the player is inflicted with Potion Sickness through Quick Buff.
  • 1.4.5.003: Tooltip is now dynamic and will change if the player has Philosopher's Stone equipped and/or if Death Mode is active.
  • 1.4.4.002:
    • Now uses 10 Abyss Gravel or Voidstone and 2 Bowls in its recipe instead of 5 Depth Cells and 1 Bowl, and now yields 2 instead of 1.
    • Resprited.
  • 1.4.2.108: Now uses 1 Coastal Demonfish in its recipe.
  • 1.4.2.103:
    • Renamed from "Sunken Stew" to "Hadal Stew".
    • Fixed it interacting strangely with Quick Buff and Quick Heal.
  • 1.4.1.001: Fixed it not giving appropriate effect when using Quick Buff.
