The Absorber is a craftable Hardmode accessory and the direct upgrade to the Grand Gelatin, Baroclaw, and Giant Tortoise Shell. It grants the following effects while equipped:

• +10 defense
• +12% movement and jump speed
• Immunity to knockback
• Enemies that hit the player through contact damage take 350 damage and are inflicted with the Absorber Affliction debuff for 15 seconds, which multiplies enemy damage reduction by 0.8 and deals 200 damage per second.
• Upon consuming Healing Potions, the player summons an aura which lingers for 30 seconds. Entering the aura grants the Regeneraga buff for 10 seconds, providing +3 HP/s, +8% damage, and +5% damage reduction for 10 seconds. All debuffs are also removed once per aura.
• Heals the player for 5% of the damage from incoming attacks.
