The Corrosive Spine is a Hardmode accessory that is dropped by the Aquatic Scourge. When equipped, it provides 4 defense and increases movement speed by 5%. It additionally causes all rogue weapons to inflict the Poisoned debuff and occasionally release 3 green toxic clouds in random directions that deal 22 damage and inflict the Poisoned debuff. For stealth strikes, this effect only triggers for the first 3 enemies hit. The clouds are also released from the player while their immunity frames are active.

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.4.001: Nerfed cloud base damage from 24 to 22. It now has a limit of 3 clouds at once, and clouds now inflict Poisoned instead of Irradiated.
  • 2.0.3.005: Now procs stealth strike projectile effects on the first 3 hits of a projectile instead of the first 5.
  • 2.0.2.001: Nerfed irradiated cloud base damage from 100 to 80.
  • 2.0.1.003:
    • Now also causes rogue attacks to inflict Poisoned instead of Acid Venom on PvP attacks, instead of exclusively enemy attacks.
    • Fixed tooltip still saying that it inflicts Acid Venom instead of Poisoned.
  • 2.0.1.002: Nerfed movement speed boost from 10% to 5%.
  • 2.0.1.001: Projectiles now inflict Poisoned instead of Acid Venom.
  • 1.5.1.001: Clouds now grant 16 local immunity frames instead of 8.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Decreased projectile count per-hit from 3-6 to 2-4 and projectiles now properly deal rogue damage. Additionally, projectiles now have a base damage of 35 instead of dealing 70% weapon damage.
    • Can now drop in all difficulties, changed drop rate from 25% Revengeance Mode to 11.11% / 12.5% Expert Mode.
  • 1.4.5.003: Clouds now have a soft damage cap of 90.
