The Chalice of the Blood God is a craftable post-Moon Lord accessory that is a combination of the Blood Pact and Charm of Myths. It grants the following effects while equipped:

  • +25% maximum health
  • +2 HP/s
  • Reduces the cooldown of healing potions by 25%
  • All incoming damage is reduced to 5 direct damage, and the rest is converted into a damage over time bleeding effect. This functions separately from standard life regeneration.
    • While the player is bleeding, drinking a healing potion cancels up to 50% of its healing amount of the remaining bleed damage (e.g. a Supreme Healing Potion would remove 125 bleed damage).
    • Unequipping the accessory while the player is bleeding will cause the remaining damage to be dealt instantly.

Notes

  • The bleeding effect has no relation to the Bleeding debuff.
  • The remaining bleed damage will be cancelled upon triggering the revive effects of the Nebulous Core, Silva Armor, or the mage and summoner variants of the Auric Tesla armor.
  • Despite having the Blood Pact in its crafting recipe, this accessory does not grant the Blood Pact's increased healing potion effectiveness bonus.
  • The initial damage reduction of this accessory prevents triggers of effects that require the player to take certain amounts of damage, such as the God Slayer armor's darts.

Trivia

  • If the player is killed by its bleeding effect, one of the many unique death messages for the item will display.
  • Its flavor tooltip is a reference to a line spoken by Thanos in the movie Avengers: Infinity War.

  • 2.0.4.002: Fixed it causing dodges and reflects to never trigger.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Now grants 4 life regeneration and Philosopher's Stone's reduced healing potion cooldown.
    • Bleedout removed when using a healing potion is now 50% of the heal instead of 50% of the total bleedout.

      • Now reduces all damage taken to at most 5 damage, but converts the rest of the damage taken into damage over time bleeding. This bleeding functions separately from standard life regeneration.
      • Drinking a healing potion while bleeding will remove half of the remaining bleed damage. If the accessory is unequipped while bleeding, the remaining bleed damage is dealt instantly.
    • Now uses 5 Bloodstone Cores in its recipe instead of Flesh Totem and 5 Cosmilite Bars.
