Bloodflare armor is a craftable post-Moon Lord armor set crafted from Bloodstone Cores and Ruinous Souls. 40 Bloodstone Cores as well as 9 Ruinous Souls are required to craft a set utilizing one headpiece. 84 Bloodstone Cores and 17 Ruinous Souls are needed to make a set including all the headpieces. If the Body Armor, Cuisses, and one of the headpiece varieties are visible (whether equipped or in social slots), the player will have a very faint vibrating shadow behind them.
It consists of the Bloodflare Body Armor and Bloodflare Cuisses, as well as having five different headpieces suited to each class, being: the Bloodflare Ram Mask, Bloodflare Horned Helm, Bloodflare Hydra Hood, Bloodflare Wyvern Helm, and Bloodflare Imp Mask. All helmets share a set bonus, but also provide set bonuses specific to their respective class as well.
The Bloodflare Body Armor gives 35 defense, 12% increased damage, and 8% increased critical strike chance, and +40 max life. The Bloodflare Cuisses gives 29 defense, 10% increased damage, 7% increased critical strike chance, and 17% increased movement speed.
- The Bloodflare Ram Mask gives 49 defense, 10% increased melee damage, and 5% increased melee critical strike chance.
- The Bloodflare Horned Helm gives 34 defense and 10% increased ranged damage and critical strike chance.
- The Bloodflare Hydra Hood gives 22 defense, 20% increased magic damage, 10% increased magic critical strike chance, +100 mana, and 17% reduced mana cost.
- The Bloodflare Wyvern Helm gives 16 defense and 5% increased summon damage.
- The Bloodflare Imp Mask gives 28 defense, 10% increased rogue damage and critical strike chance, and 5% increased movement speed.
Set Bonuses
Regardless of the headpiece chosen, equipping a full set of Bloodflare armor will provide the following set bonuses:
- Greatly increased life regeneration (equivalent to the Crimson armor).
- Enemies below 50% life will drop a heart upon being struck every 5 seconds.
In addition to the above, each headpiece provides its own class-specific set bonus:
Bloodflare Ram Mask:
- +18% increased melee speed.
- +900 to Aggro.
- Causes true melee strikes to heal on hit.
- Grants the player the Blood Frenzy buff for five seconds after landing 15 true melee strikes.
- This effect has a 30 second cooldown.
- These bonuses only occur hitting enemies that have a damage stat of 5 or higher, with the exception of enemies spawned from statues.
Bloodflare Horned Helm:
- Pressing Armor Set Bonus allows the player to unleash sixteen Bloodflare Souls to damage enemies.
- The souls deal 300 damage and are affected by ranged damage bonuses.
- This effect has a 30 second cooldown.
- Ranged weapons fire bloodsplosion orbs every 2.5 seconds.
- The explosions deal 80% of the weapon's damage and are softcapped at 120 damage.
Bloodflare Hydra Hood:
- Magic weapons fire ghostly bolts every 1.67 seconds.
- Ghostly bolts deal 130% of the attack's damage but are softcapped at 2600 damage.
- Magic critical strikes cause a flame explosion of three fireballs every 2 seconds.
- The fireballs have a 50% chance to inflict On Fire! for 5 seconds and deal 50% of the damage of the attack that summoned them, though they are softcapped at 250 damage.
- Fireballs are only generated from enemies that have a damage stat of 5 or higher, with the exception of enemies spawned from statues.
Bloodflare Wyvern Helm:
- 50% increased summon damage and +3 max minions.
- Summons three of Polterghast's mines to circle around the player, which explode upon contact with enemies.
- The Polterghast Mines deal 3750 base damage.
- If the player is at 90% of their life or above, they will gain 10% increased summon damage.
- If they are at 50% of their life or below, they will gain 20 defense and +2 life regen.
Bloodflare Imp Mask:
- Rogue critical strikes have a 50% chance to heal the player.
- Heals only occur when hitting enemies that have a damage stat of 5 or higher, with the exception of enemies spawned from statues.
- If the player is above 80% of their life, their defense is boosted by 30 and their rogue critical strike chance is boosted by 5%.
- If the player is at or below 80% of their life, their rogue damage will be boosted by 10%.
- Gives a maximum rogue stealth of 120.
