Dragon Scales Fireball
Infernado (friendly)

Dragon Scales are a post-Moon Lord rogue accessory that is sold by the Bandit for 40 Platinum Coin after Yharon, Dragon of Rebirth has been defeated. When equipped, it increases the player's movement speed and acceleration by 10%, and all rogue projectiles create fireballs as they travel. It also grants immunity to the Dragonfire debuff. Fireballs are spawned every 0.83 seconds the projectile has been active, slowly homing into nearby enemies, or spin in place otherwise. Additionally, all stealth strikes executed will create a massive infernado on enemy hits, which lingers for a significant amount of time. Infernadoes and fireballs deal 300 and 57 typeless damage respectively which are affected by rogue damage bonuses, up to five fireballs can exist at a time, and only one infernado can exist at a time. The fireballs and infernado inflict the Dragonfire debuff for 2 seconds and 5 seconds respectively. Fireballs innately have 10 armor penetration.



  • The fireballs created from rogue projectiles are called 'DragonShit' in the source code.


These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Reworded tooltip to no longer use "on death".
    • Increased sell price from 30 Gold Coin to 48 Gold Coin.
    • Buffed fireball base damage from 55 to 57.
    • Fireballs now last 7.5 seconds instead of 5, and have an innate 10 armor penetration.
  • Infernadoes and fireballs now inflict Dragonfire, increased fireballs' base damage from 50 to 55.
    • Infernado projectile now lasts 14 seconds instead of 7. Nerfed base damage from 840 to 550, projectile size is no longer scaled up, and it now grants enemies 10 ID-static immunity frames instead of 1 local immunity frame.
    • Fireballs now deal rogue damage and now have a base damage of 80.
    • Now additionally boosts running acceleration by 10%.
    • Now only purchasable after defeating Yharon and no longer has a one-time purchase gimmick.
    • Fireballs now have a soft damage cap of 300.
    • Frequency of fireballs can no longer be influenced.
    • Resprited tornadoes and fireballs.
    • Fixed tornadoes dealing magic damage instead of rogue damage.
  • Fixed grammar issues in its tooltip.
    • Extra projectiles no longer infinitely combo off of each other.
    • Fireballs now grant -1 local immunity frames.
