Hermit's Box of One Hundred Medicines is a Hardmode pet summoning item that is dropped by Wall of Flesh. When used, it summons a small flying snake that follows the player. If the item is selected in the player's toolbar when using its secondary fire (right-click), they will be blessed with the ability to respawn at full health. This does not consume the item and using the item again will remove the blessing.
Notes
- The item drops directly from the Wall of Flesh and does not drop from its Treasure Bag.
Trivia
- The item and pet are references to the character Ibaraki Kasen from the Touhou Project series.
- The tooltip refers to the legend of Ibaraki Douji and the poet Miyako no Yoshika, who supposedly exchanged poem verses at the Rashomon Demon gate.
- It is also a tribute to the developer's two snakes who passed away, Rose and Pearl, who were red and white, respectively.
- Around every 33 seconds, the pet will stick out its tongue and audibly hiss.
