The Enchanted Butterfly is a craftable Hardmode light pet summoning item. When used, it summons a tiny dragonfly pet to follow the player around and provide a small amount of light. It will actively fly towards butterflies to consume them, though this does not have any effect. It will also fly towards nearby items, which will be placed in the player's inventory. When the player is below 75% health, the dragonfly turns blue, and if they are below 50% health, the dragonfly turns green. This also changes the color of the light it provides.

Notes

• Despite the pet being able to fly towards nearby items, it will not fly towards nearby powerup items such as Hearts.
• If the player has the Encumbering Stone locked in their inventory, items picked up by the pet will still be placed in their inventory.

Trivia

• The pet itself is based on a character of a similar name from the Spyro series.
  • The functions of eating butterflies, picking up items, and changing color based on health directly reference said character.
