Ocean Spirit

The Strange Orb is a light pet summoning item that is obtained from Ancient Treasure Chests in the Abyss. It summons an Ocean Spirit to follow the player. If the player is not submerged in water or honey, it sleeps while holding the orb and gives a small amount of light. When in water or honey, it swims above the player and provides more light.

Notes

• It will not provide more light if the player is submerged in lava or shimmer.
• This item can also be obtained from the Hydrothermal and Sulphurous Crate after either The Slime God or Wall of Flesh have been defeated.

Tips

• The Ocean Spirit is a very effective way to increase your light level in the Abyss.

Trivia

• The Ocean Spirit's buff tooltip is the same as the Levi's.
