The Plague Caller is a Hardmode pet summoning item that is dropped by The Plaguebringer Goliath. It summons a miniature Plaguebringer Bab to follow the player around.

Trivia

• The miniature Plaguebringer sprite is taken from an unused asset in the code for a scrapped summoner weapon of the same name and with a similar appearance. The Plague Caller summon weapon eventually got redesigned into the Fuel Cell Bundle.
  • The Plaguebringer Bab is also used for one of Virili's attacks, a minion summoned by the Infected Remote.
• This pet was added to the Calamity's Vanities fan mod, prior to it being added to Calamity proper.
  • The pet item from the vanity mod was called the Plaguebringer Power Cell. This is referenced in the Fuel Cell Bundle, which was the redesign of the original Plague Caller.
  • The version of the sprite added to Calamity's Vanities used different animations compared to the Plague Caller's Plaguebringer upon release. These animations have since been ported to Calamity and the pet from Calamity's Vanities has since been removed.
