Soul Seekers are Hardmode and post-Moon Lord boss servant enemies that are spawned during Calamitas Clone and the Supreme Witch, Calamitas boss fights.

Behavior

Both variants circle their respective boss, attacking by firing Brimstone Darts. The normal Soul Seekers stay close to the Calamitas Clone, acting as a shield to protect her while also providing additional firepower. The Supreme Soul Seekers surround Calamitas in a ring while firing at the player in sync, serving as an additional type of obstacle that must be passed to continue damaging the boss.

Notes

• 5 / 10 normal Soul Seekers spawn when Calamitas Clone reaches 35% health.
• 20 Supreme Soul Seekers spawn when Calamitas reaches 20% health.
  • Supreme Soul Seekers will provide invulnerability to Calamitas until all of them are defeated.
• Supreme Soul Seekers have the following resistances, taking:
  • 90% damage from Celestus and Executioner's Blade's stealth strike.
  • 75% damage from Yharim's Crystal.
  • 70% damage from Zenith.
  • 50% damage from the Subsuming Vortex.
  • 15% damage from the Chicken Cannon's explosions.

Tips

Normal variant

• Due to the AI of the Soul Seekers, most non-piercing attacks will not hit the boss, so it is recommended to destroy them first.

Supreme variant

• Taking care of them quickly should be a priority, as they fire many projectiles that can get in the way of Calamitas' regular attacks. Any sort of piercing weapon or weapons that have a large area of effect (such as the Celestus) excel in this task, especially with Adrenaline or Rage.

• Soul Seeker: "The Clone’s attempt at wielding the souls of the damned as weapons, these retain slightly more autonomy than their Azafurian brethren. And yet given the striking resemblance the bear to the Clone’s shell, it’s arguable that they might be further from Calamitas’ current soul seekers than those found in Azafure’s ruins."
• Supreme Soul Seeker: "Created through a marriage of brimstone magic and necromancy, these foul beings serve their master’s whims unflinchingly. What they lack in sheer power they make up for in both sheer numbers and suprising amount of coordination."
