The Wulfrum Drone is a Pre-Hardmode enemy found on the Surface during the day. It is initially stationary when it first spawns, moving to attack only when the player is considerably close and has direct line of sight. It attacks by flying around the player, passing through blocks, and occasionally swooping down to attack them. It will stop attacking if the line of sight is broken. If enough time has passed without the drone detecting a player, it will fly straight up, passing through tiles, and despawn.

It can be supercharged by the Wulfrum Amplifier enemy, causing its lights to turn from green to blue and cause them to fire lasers at the player.


  • In the Get fixed boi seed, it will fire two lasers in a spread.
    • In Legendary Mode, it will fire three lasers instead of two.
  • In the Get fixed boi and Don't dig up seeds, it will no longer fly away if it loses sight.


  • The BestiaryBestiary entry for the Wulfrum Drone: "The purpose the wulfrum machines once fulfilled can most clearly be seen through the drones: to harass the basic troopers of Yharim’s forces. They were not threatening enough to be a priority target, though their laser attacks could be quite deadly if allowed to fully power up."


These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
    • Now has 25% less health and 10% less damage in Master Mode.
    • Now charges at a faster velocity in higher difficulties, and no longer deals contact damage while not charging.
    • Nerfed laser damage from 12 / 24 Expert Mode / 36 Master Mode to 12 / 18 Expert Mode / 24 Master Mode.
    • No longer flies away in Don't dig up and Get fixed boi worlds.
    • Now fires 2 lasers in a spread in Get fixed boi, which is increased to 3 lasers in Legendary Mode.
    • Fixed its bestiary entry using the wrong apostrophe.
    • Fixed it not spawning properly in Don't dig up and Get fixed boi worlds.
    • Nerfed projectile damage from 28 / 56 Expert Mode to 24 / 48 Expert Mode.
    • Decreased spawn rate by 60% in Hardmode.
    • Now fires Martian Saucer lasers instead of Tesla Turret electric bolts when supercharged.
    • Now vulnerable to electricity debuffs but resistant to sickness debuffs.
    • Decreased velocity by 25%, and fly away timer from 8 seconds to 6.
    • Increased tile detection range for the player from 57.5 tiles to 60.
  • Decreased drop chance for Wulfrum Battery from 10% to 7%.
  • Will no longer immediately fly away from the player when spawned.
    • Decreased spawn rate.
    • Decreased speed.
    • Reworked AI, now flies around and occasionally charges at the player instead of using Fighter AI.
    • Resprited.
  • Now spawns properly in Death Mode.
    • Nerfed defense from 6 to 4.
    • Now uses NPCHit4 as its hit sound instead of NPCHit1.
  • Can now spawn in Hardmode, but with a rarer chance instead of becoming unspawnable in Hardmode.
  • Decreased minimum coin drop amount from 3 Silver Coin to 50 Copper Coin.
  • Nerfed health from 35 / 49 Expert Mode to 22 / 44 Expert Mode, and damage from 20 / 28 Expert Mode to 10 / 20 Expert Mode.
  • Nerfed health from 60 / 84 Expert Mode to 35 / 49 Expert Mode, and damage from 25 / 35 Expert Mode / 43 Revengeance Mode / 52 Death Mode to 20 / 28 Expert Mode / 35 Revengeance Mode / 42 Death Mode.
  • Nerfed health from 80 / 112 Expert Mode to 60 / 84 Expert Mode, and damage from 30 / 42 Expert Mode to 25 / 35 Expert Mode.
