The Astral Probe is a Hardmode enemy which spawns in the Astral Infection biome. They move freely through the air and fire lasers at the player, similarly to the Probes spawned by The Destroyer.

- The
Bestiary entry for the Astral Probe: "What were once simply common birds have been transmuted by the overwhelming amounts of mana. Though weak on their own, they choose to harass those who are unassimilated while the victim attempts to fight off other infected beasts."
- There used to be variants of the astral probe spawned by Astrum Deus during its fight.
