The Gamma Slime is a post-Moon Lord slime that spawns during Tier 3 of the Acid Rain event. It jumps around erratically and will shoot 5 Gamma Acid out in a star pattern while it is jumping. Occasionally, it will stop jumping and charge up a
Gamma Ray and fire it upwards.
Like most other slimes, the Gamma Slime will be passive towards any player with the Royal Gel accessory equipped.
Notes
- It replaces the Irradiated Slime after Polterghast has been defeated.
- Filling out the Gamma Slime's bestiary entry will also fill out the Irradiated Slime's entry if it has not been fully completed already.
- Uniquely among slimes, it does not float in water, and instead sinks to the bottom.

Bestiary entry for the Gamma Slime: "A slime overloaded with radiation from Draedon's long-since abandoned experiments with nuclear energy. Though methods of generating power involving nuclear energy surpassed all others that came before in terms of raw efficiency, not even these advancements were enough to satisfy the enigmatic engineer."
