The Eutrophic Ray is a Pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns in the Sunken Sea. It is initially passive and sits on the ground motionless until attacked. When aggressive, it swiftly moves side to side to damage the player and is able to move through tiles while doing so.

Eutrophic Rays receive a boost to their stats when the world enters Hardmode.

Trivia

  • The BestiaryBestiary entry for the Eutrophic Ray: "Eutrophic Rays have formed a commensalistic relationship with Ghost Bells. The rays can store energy given by the Ghost Bells for electrical muscle stimulation, allowing for great bursts of speed."
