The Radiator is a Pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns during the Acid Rain event. It slowly crawls around the sides of tiles much like a Snail, and emits an aura around it that inflicts Irradiated and Poisoned onto the player. After defeating Polterghast, the aura will additionally inflict Sulphuric Poisoning and Acid Venom.
Radiators will drop a Radiating Crystal when hit with any type of Bug Net.
Trivia
- The Bestiary entry for the Radiator: "A species of once near-extinct sea slugs that have learned to carry crystallized depleted plutonium on their backs to dissuade predators, rather than relying on toxins that most creatures in the Sulphurous Sea are now immune to. Though radiation is detrimental to most life, it has curiously been an opportunity for some."

- 2.0.1.002: Can no longer apply debuffs while the player is in god mode. Prevented issues with applying the debuff in multiplayer.
- 1.5.1.001: Now vulnerable to electricity debuffs, but resistant to water, sickness, and heat debuffs.
- 1.4.5.001: Nerfed tier 1 health from 100 / 200 to 50 / 100 and tier 2 health from 640 / 1280 to 130 / 260 .
- 1.4.4.001:
- Now only spawns during the Acid Rain event.
- No longer drops Lead Core.
- 1.4.3.001: Can now drop Lead Core at a 5% chance.
