Aureus Spawn

The Aureus Spawn is a Hardmode boss servant that is summoned by Astrum Aureus. Upon initially spawning, it is harmless, moving closer to the player and occasionally teleporting to some location near them.
Once its health drops below 50%, it becomes invincible and starts accelerating towards the player, acting much like a projectile. Once in this state, it will explode upon contact with tiles or the player, killing itself and potentially dealing damage in the process.
Notes
- If spawned during the day, it will immediately act as if its health is below 1000 and start accelerating towards the player.
- During the Boss Rush, they will have 3,000 max health regardless of difficulty.
Tips
- Due to its harmless nature if left alive in its inactive state, it is recommended to avoid damaging it as much as possible, as doing so could lead to it becoming a hazard.
- If in pursuit of the player, it will die instantly if it comes into contact with blocks. Because it is affected quite heavily by momentum, the player should attempt to draw it towards tiles as much as possible before dodging, so its previous speed carries it into them and destroys it.
- A good way of doing this is to build boxes of solid blocks above your arena, and when being chased by the Aureus Spawn double back on them below or above your boxes, this should cause them to run into your box and subsequently be destroyed.
- The Ornate Shield, Asgard's Valor, or the Asgardian Aegis can be used to dash through them, making them explode without damaging the player.

- If an Aureus Spawn is reduced to 50% health, it will glow and start chasing faster; in this state, colliding with Astrum Aureus will cause it to explode and deal a small percentage of its maximum health as damage.
- 2.0.1.001: Removed the stat buff that it received after defeating Moon Lord.
- 2.0.0.001: Now fires homing lasers towards the player instead of flame crystals in Death Mode.

- Buffed contact damage from 65 / 130 / 150 / 180 to 75 / 150 / 172 / 184 .
- Now vulnerable to heat debuffs, but resistant to sickness debuffs.
- Death Mode changes:
- Now charges at the player for 10 seconds instead of 5 before exploding.
- Now fires Astral Flame Crystals every 3 seconds while not charging.
- Can now move away from other Aureus Spawns.

- Buffed post-Moon Lord health from 3000 to 8250.
- Decreased post-Moon Lord damage multiplier from 3x to 2x.
- No longer immune to any debuffs except Confused, Pearl Aura, Astral Infection, and Poisoned.
