The Laserfish is an enemy that spawns in the 2nd and 3rd layers of the Abyss. It passively swims around but if the player gets too near or hits it, it will swim towards their direction and fire lasers at them. If hit, it will stay aggressive even if the player is far away from it.
Trivia
- The
Bestiary entry for the Laserfish: "Its eyes are blinded by bacteria that gather in large sacs on its head. As it swims through the waters, relying on primitive echolocation, the bacteria are able to release concussive blasts to clear its path."
- The Laserfish was inspired by Barreleye fish, specifically Pacific Barreleyes, which have transparent heads that contain large yellowish eyes.
