The Flak Crab is a Hardmode enemy that spawns during Tiers 2 and 3 of the Acid Rain event. It sits on the ground disguising itself as a geyser, which will fire Flak ShotFlak Shots at the player if they are directly above it. When it takes approximately 10 hits, it will start jumping away from the player about three times before turning back into a geyser afterwards.

Notes

  • The enemy itself does not deal any contact damage, only the Flak Shot it fires can deal damage.

Trivia

  • The BestiaryBestiary entry for the Flak Crab: "Needing to hide themselves from the roaming creatures, flak crabs disguise themselves as the sulfurous gas vents scattered across the Sulphurous Sea. As they reproduce quickly, stumbling upon these and their offspring is a rather common occurrence."
  • This enemy is a reference to the Hermit Crab enemy from Risk of Rain 2.
  • The way Flak Crabs attack is a reference to the Aeroflak Cannon from Robocraft.
  • The Flak Crab's disguised state is tied with the Devil Fish's masked state for having the highest defense of any enemy in the mod.
