- Not to be confused with the Colossal Squid, a mini boss that spawns in third and fourth layers of the Abyss.
The Giant Squid is an enemy that spawns in the 3rd layer of the Abyss. It is initially passive, only becoming aggressive if the player attacks it or draws too close to it. Once hostile, it swims towards the player in short, frequent bursts, attempting to deal contact damage. Due to its height and vertical orientation, it can be a challenging enemy to maneuver around in the confined spaces of the Abyss.
Tips
- The Giant Squid has bioluminescent spots on its head which glow in the dark, allowing the player to notice it from afar and avoid confrontation.
Trivia
- The
Bestiary entry for the Giant Squid: "Squid are known to be cannibalistic animals, having few qualms with consuming their own kind when in need of food. Quite ironically, this creature's main predator is itself."
