The Ice Clasper is an uncommon Hardmode enemy that spawns in the Snow and Ice biomes. Ice Claspers fly around the player by firing three ice crystals at them, afterwards it will attempt to ram them to deal contact damage and inflict them with Frostburn and Chilled debuffs. It will only deal contact damage when it rams into the player and is able to fly through tiles freely.
In Revengeance Mode, it will fire 4 ice crystals instead of 3 while in Death Mode, it will fire two sets of three ice crystals.
It can be detected with the Lifeform Analyzer.
Trivia
- The Bestiary entry for the Ice Clasper: "Though their exact origins are an enigma, what is known is that these ethereal beings seek to stamp out any and all sources of warmth that exist in their home. Due to this fact, and taking into account the fossil record, many speculate that ice claspers may have played a vital role in the tundra’s creation."
- It appears to be an ice version of the Corruptor in both appearance and attacks, though Ice Claspers are faster and have the ability to travel through tiles.
