The Skyfin is a Pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns during the Acid Rain event. It typically spawns underwater, flying up above the player. When close to the player or after 2.5 seconds, it pauses briefly and makes a sharp dive towards the player. After 0.83 seconds of diving, it flies back up and repeats its attack pattern.

Bestiary entry for the Skyfin: "Too weak to hunt in the waters below, skyfins instead use their wing-like fins to take to the sky and generally feast on insects or even small birds that dare wander near the sea. However, they are also able to hunt larger prey on land by fighting in packs and using hit and run tactics."
History

- 2.0.4.001: Now has 25% less health and 10% less damage in Master Mode.

- Modified AI, allowing it to move through tiles at all times.
- Also moves towards the player more aggressively and alternates between hovering above the player and diving down.
- No longer gets stuck on platforms.
- Now vulnerable to electricity debuffs, but resistant to water, sickness, and heat debuffs.
