The Sea Urchin is a Pre-Hardmode enemy that spawns in the Ocean. It bounces high towards the player in an attempt to hurt them, and can also bounce when out of the water.


  • The BestiaryBestiary entry for the Sea Urchin: "Massive urchins that roll and hop their way across the sea floor, catching both fish hiding in the sand thanks to their spikes that allow them to comb the sea floor and those far above with their incredible leaps. Their surprising size is due to this species’ carnivorous diet, rather than consuming plants like most types of urchins."

  • Now has 25% less health and 10% less damage in Master Mode.
  • Fixed its bestiary entry using the wrong apostrophe.
  • Now drops 30-50 Urchin Stingers instead of 15-25.

  • Decreased minimum coin drop amount from 5 Silver Coin to 80 Copper Coin.
  • Decreased Venom duration from 3 seconds to 2.
  • No longer has 20% damage reduction.
  • Nerfed health from 50 / 100 Expert Mode to 30 / 60 Expert Mode.
  • Nerfed health from 80 / 160 Expert Mode to 50 / 100 Expert Mode, and damage from 40 / 80 Expert Mode to 20 / 40 Expert Mode.
