The Prism Crate is a Hardmode fishing crate that can only be hooked in the Sunken Sea. The crate contains several Sunken Sea blocks. Its Pre-Hardmode counterpart is the Eutrophic Crate.

  • 2.1.0:
    • Now drops Journeyman Bait instead of Apprentice Bait.
    • Can now drop 20-50 Driftwood as part of its block loot pool, drop 10-20 of one of Cyan Coral, Orange Coral, Lime Coral, Magenta Coral, or Yellow Coral, and can drop 4-10 Prism Shards at a 50% chance.
    • Fixed it still dropping Mythril and Orichalcum Bars before defeating 1 mechanical boss, and Adamantite and Titanium Bars before defeating 2 mechanical bosses when the Early Hardmode Progression Rework configuration option is enabled.
  • 2.0.7:
    • Changed general loot pool for consistency with vanilla:
      • Drops 20-35 Copper, Tin, Iron, Lead, Silver, Tungsten, Gold, or Platinum Ore at a 14.29% chance in pre-Hardmode, and 7.14% chance in Hardmode.
      • Drops 6-16 Iron, Lead, Silver, Tungsten, Gold, or Platinum Bars at a 25% chance in pre-Hardmode, and 8.33% chance in Hardmode.
      • If no mechanical bosses have been defeated, drops 20-35 Cobalt or Palladium Ore at a 7.14% chance, and 5-16 Cobalt or Palladium Bars at a 16.67% chance.
      • If one mechanical boss has been defeated, drops 20-35 Cobalt, Palladium, Mythril, or Orichalcum Ore at a 7.14% chance, and 5-16 Cobalt, Palladium, Mythril, or Orichalcum Bars at a 16.67% chance.
      • If two mechanical bosses have been defeated, drops 20-35 Cobalt, Palladium, Mythril, Orichalcum, Adamantite, or Titanium Ore at a 7.14% chance, and 5-16 Cobalt, Palladium, Mythril, Orichalcum, Adamantite, or Titanium Bars at a 16.67% chance.
      • Drops 2-4 Obsidian Skin Potions, Spelunker Potions, Hunter Potions, Gravitation Potions, Heartreach Potions, or Mining Potions at a 25% chance, and 5-17 Healing Potions or Mana Potions at a 50% chance.
      • Drops 2-6 Apprentice Bait or Master Bait at a 50% chance.
      • Drops 5-12 Gold Coins at a 25% chance.
    • Now has a 100% chance to drop one of 20-50 Navystone or Eutrophic Sand, instead of separate drops of 10-30 Navystone and 10-30 Eutrophic Sand.
    • Can no longer drop Prism Shards, Sea Prisms, Sea Minnows, Mollusk Husks, or Hardmode Giant Clam weapons.
    • Fixed it dropping Mythril and Orichalcum before defeating 1 mechanical boss, and Adamantite and Titanium before defeating 2 mechanical bosses when the Early Hardmode Progression Rework configuration option is enabled.
  • 2.0.4.001:
    • Renamed from "Sunken Crate" to "Prism Crate".
    • Now only caught in Hardmode.
    • Resprited. Previous sprite was Sunken Crate (1.4.2.108).png
  • 2.0.1.001: Decreased the Research requirement from 10 to 5.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Decreased hook rate by 50%.
    • Now has a 50% chance to drop healing and mana potions instead of 51% for healing potions and 49% for mana potions.
    • Now drops different tiers depending on progression:
      • Lesser Healing and/or Mana potions are dropped normally.
      • Healing and Mana potions are dropped if Skeletron has been defeated.
      • Greater Healing and Mana potions are dropped if any Mechanical boss has been defeated.
      • Super Healing and Mana potions are dropped if Providence has been defeated.
      • Supreme Healing and Mana potions are dropped if The Devourer of Gods has been defeated.
    • Decreased the amount of Prism Shards yielded from 10-20 to 5-10.
    • Decreased chance for Sea Prisms to drop from 100% to 20% and decreased the amount yielded from 5-10 to 2-5.
    • Decreased chance for Mollusk Husks to drop from 50% to 12% and decreased the amount yielded from 5-15 to 2-5.
    • Decreased chance for the "Giant Clam Drops" item grouping to drop from 20% to 7%.
  • 1.4.5.001: Fixed it giving Hardmode Giant Clam drops earlier than intended.
  • 1.4.3.001: Now contains 1-3 Sea Minnows at a 20% chance.
