Bubonic Round

Bubonic Rounds are craftable Hardmode bullets. They burst into a virulent plague upon contact which inflicts the Plague debuff and they ignore 25% of the enemy's defense as calculated below.

Additional damage is added to bullets when hitting a target based on target's defense, the damage of the gun and bullet, and the gun's use time. The final damage formula is as follows: Damage = Damage + (EnemyDefense * 0.05 * (Damage / 50) * (WeaponUsetime / 20))

History

These history sections are still a work-in-progress, and may not yet contain changes relevant to the current version of the Calamity Mod.
  • 2.0.2.001: Renamed from "Acid Round" to "Bubonic Round".
  • 2.0.1.002: No longer does less damage when used with P90.
  • 1.5.1.001:
    • Buffed velocity multiplier from 2x to 4x.
    • Now inflicts Plague for 3 seconds instead of 6.
    • Decreased sell price from 2 Silver Coin.png 50 Copper Coin.png to 16 Copper Coin.
  • 1.4.3.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 28 to 20.
    • Added damage from enemy defense is now 5% as effective instead of 10%, and is now weaker the less use time the weapon has.
    • Now does 75% damage when used in conjunction with P90.
    • Now has full brightness.
  • 1.4.2.104: Projectiles now make sounds upon hitting blocks.
  • 1.4.2.102: Now divides its damage boost by 50 before applying it.
  • 1.4.2.001: Nerfed damage from 36 to 28, and halved extra defense-based damage boost.
  • 1.4.1.001:
    • Buffed damage from 24 to 36.
    • Added enemy defense-based damage mechanic to tooltip, and now adds 20% of the target's defense to damage instead of 100% with a minimum of 30.
