Phases

Phase 1 (100%-75%) Map Icon King Slime.png

Either keep a safe distance from King Slime, about x blocks or about 1/x screen widths, or stay close to him and run under his jumps. Make sure to watch for his teleports, as he will shrink and his minimap icon will move downwards immediately before he disappears. His teleports will always go to the right initally, before alternating sides.

Phase 2 (75%-30%) Crown Jewel.png

Once King Slime reaches 75% health, he will spawn a Crown Jewel which will fire Ruby Bolts at the player. Continue moving away from King Slime, while running straight along a platform. Don't try to kill the jewel, as it will respawn. Watch the charging animation for the gem, and immediately before it shoots, press jump to make it overshoot and miss. It's still possible to turn around after teleports in this stage, but be careful for the gem while accelerating.

Alternatively, Featherfall Potions can be used to dodge these attacks. Drink one, hold up, and spam Sandstorm jumps away from King Slime.

Phase 3 (30%-0%) Ninja.png

This is the most chaotic phase, with King Slime moving faster, the gem firing, and the ninja shooting at you. Due to the presence of the ninja, turning around in this phase is not recommended. To dodge teleports in this phase, either fall under the boss, by dropping down a platform as he teleports, or use a double jump or a hook to get over him. If keeping track of the other 2 ais gets difficult during this phase, then hold a sandstorm jump till right after the gem fires to regain the timing for that.
