The Nychthemeron is a craftable Hardmode spiky ball. It throws up to 10 gravity-ignoring spiky balls that decelerate over time. The spiky balls break after hitting four enemies, contacting a solid block, recalling to the player, or completely stopping. While each spiky ball is active, a light orb and a dark orb orbit around the player. The orbs lose orbit and home onto nearby enemies once the balls are broken.
Right-clicking with the weapon will retract all of the spiky balls back to the player; holding right-click will slowly retract them, at about the speed they were thrown, and releasing right-click will do it quickly, near-instantly.
Performing a stealth strike with the Nychthemeron will cause all spiky balls to be thrown at once, which results in all light and dark orbs appearing simultaneously.
