The Sandslasher is a craftable Hardmode non-consumable rogue weapon. It automatically throws a large sand shuriken projectile that pierces twice and is unaffected by gravity. It speeds up horizontally and deals more damage as it travels, up to a maximum of +42 horizontal velocity and over 10x damage after 10 seconds. It cannot be fired directly upwards, it will curve to either the left or right when attempting to do so.

Performing a stealth strike with the Sandslasher will cause the next shuriken to release sand clouds as it travels, which each deal 40% of the weapon's damage. The clouds are similar to the Duststorm in a Bottle and will move outwards from the blade, disappearing shortly after their creation.

• Although the maximum speed-based damage boost is incredibly high, it is very difficult to keep up with the projectile for the full 10 seconds, let alone hit the intended target. By the end of its duration, it is moving faster than a High Velocity Bullet.
