  • 2.0.3.005:
    • Reworked:
      • Nerfed damage from 955 to 145 and shot speed from 14.5 to 12, but buffed use time from 35 to 30 and stealth strike damage modifier from 122% to 185%.
      • No longer fires a lance that emits spirits as it travels, and stealth strikes no longer emit spectral clones.
      • Now fires a fast ghost lance that explodes into 4 homing souls on enemy hits.
      • Stealth strikes now pierce twice, summoning homing souls from below on each hit.
    • Now uses 15 Spectre Bars and 35 Bones in its recipe instead of Reality Rupture, 500 Phantom Lances, 20 Phantoplasm, and 4 Ruinous Souls, and now requires a Hardmode Anvil to craft instead of an Ancient Manipulator.
    • Now uses the Rarity Level: 7 rarity instead of Rarity Level: 13.
  • 1.5.1.001: Moved Phantom Lance above Ruinous Soul in the recipe.
  • 1.5.0.001:
    • Nerfed damage from 1500 to 995 and use time from 25 to 35.
    • Stealth strikes now have a 122% damage modifier.
    • Projectile collision now spawns four phantasmal spirits that will home in onto enemies shortly after being spawned. Phantasmal spirit projectiles deal 10% base damage instead of 5%. Lost soul projectiles are now spawned once every 0.5 seconds. Stealth strikes cause cloned projectiles to spawn every 0.25 seconds that deal 25% base damage instead of 20% and weakly home in onto enemies. Cloned projectiles can no longer hit enemies twice.
    • Resprited souls.
  • 1.4.5.004: Fixed projectiles causing severe frame drops when they collide with enemy body segments.
  • 1.4.5.001: Added a sprite to its lost soul projectile.
  • 1.4.3.001:
    • Javelin now deals 10% less damage if 8 or more Phantasmal Souls have spawned.
    • Phantasmal Souls now initially deal 10% base damage and gradually scale up to 100% damage after 0.83 seconds.
    • Stealth strikes now have a 20% damage modifier.
    • Javelin now functions in PvP.
